About the Videos of Read 'n' ACT Scripts

Teachers who use the Read 'n' ACT scripts in their classrooms find that students love to perform the plays for their classmates. Whether they read them or turn them into a full blown production, memorizing their lines and creating sets and costumes for the play, they are highly motivated to share their experience with others.

We have added some videos of students who were very anxious to share their work with others, including the camera. These first videos that we have added here are from the Center for Create Education, a Montessori Charter school in Cottonwood, AZ. The scripts have been used in their classrooms since the school opened over ieght years ago.

The schools director said that what was so remarkable about some of the children who volunteered to perform the plays for the camera were children who were generally considered challenged readers and yet they were anxious to get up and read or perform the plays. The motivation of performing and engaging is highly motivating and self rewarding.

If the students in your classroom perform any of these scripts and they want to share them with other students on the internet, send them to us and we will add them to this site.
